Why Singita Pamushana Lodge should be your next holiday destination

By Shannon Wilson

I have to admit, I am a little biased when it comes to this region of the world, after all it’s home to the Big five, dusty trails and impressive five star accommodation! Singita Pamushana was started as a trust to initiate conservation schemes and promote growth within local communities in the surrounding area. Exquisite scenes, spectacular sunsets and an incredible experience in nature, Pamushana is a luxurious holiday in paradise.

Location

Located in the Malilangwe conservation trust, Singita Pamushana Lodge is certainly picturesque. Tucked away from the rest of the world, it provides wonderful rooms with a private pool, an outside shower and a big bath tub with a gorgeous view!

The common area is decked out with a crystal clear infinity pool, a jacuzzi and some colourful red and orange umbrellas — the perfect spot to spend a lazy day in the sun drinking delicious cocktails provided by Pamushanas excellent staff. Or enjoy a cup of tea on the wooden deck over looking the small dam before heading out on an afternoon game drive.

Activities

The ideal place for safari goers; enjoy long game drives, guided walks, fishing excursions, sunset cruises, star gazing and rock art tours. The morning drives are served with coffee, tea and delectable biscuits, while the sunset cruise and evening drive come with decadent treats and cold drinks of your choosing. Fishing trips are always exciting in Pamushana as the dam contains an ample supply of tiger fish and big black bottomed bream. For all the adrenaline junkies, getting close and personal with nature and wildlife on the guided walks is sure to get your heart racing. There is gym and spa on site for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy being on holiday.

Peaceful

Only the Christmas beetles, crickets and the lions roar can be heard from the private and camouflaged lodge. Read a book on the deep blue loungers, enjoy a massage with a view from the spa or bask under the sun on the loungers by your personal pool.  There is plenty of space for all guests to enjoy their stay and I would definitely recommend a night (or day) time swim in the jacuzzi!
